Could AC/DC be touring Australia in 2024?

Rumours are swirling that AC/DC could be returning to Australia next year for their first Australian tour since 2015. 

Sharing a photo of the band’s setlist at Power Trip festival in Indio, California, from a few weeks ago, Melbourne’s Cherry Bar owner James Young wrote on Facebook,

"A little birdy told me last night that AC/DC will 100% be touring Australia in 2024, and this Set List that they recently played at Power Trip Festival in California will be the precise set list we get.

“If you want blood you got it!

“Now we all just need to pray that we get Melbourne-born drummer Phil Rudd back in the band for this Tour."

In addition to that post, the Twitter account Oz Concert News also posted, “It'd be cool if AC/DC toured next year.”

Oz Concert News is an account with connections within the music industry. For example, the night before the Iron Maiden tour was announced they posted a teaser.

In September, the Daily Star also reported on AC/DC tour rumours, writing, “More dates are being looked at for next year, some big shows.”

AC/DC were also reportedly looking at touring Australia in late 2020 and might have finally organised their return.

We’ll have to wait and see, but hopefully, the band will announce a 2024 world tour - and it will include NZ too.
